Why is she wearing a yellow Dobok wether she isn’t over 50 years old??
The yellow dobok was originally intended for 7th dan and up. The change to the 50+ age group came later.

Just a refresher for those that are confused: The first form is Taeguek 8, also know as Taeguek Pal Jang, for red and black belts. The second form is Keumgang, it is for 2nd degree black belts. Thank you, have a good day.

im confused as to how many different 8th poomses there are. which one is the correct one?
Jason Wolff Taeguk Pal Jang is 8, then the second poomsae he did is keumgang..2nd black belt poomsae
+Jason Wolff the first 8 are the ones before your black belt...the first form in the vid is the eight form called palchang (the one u need for ur first dan exam) the second form he did ist the 2nd blackbelt form called kuemgang (the one u need for ur third dan exam)

Ok, I can go with this, but her kicks remind me of ballet, and how do you kick the crap out of someone with a grande bantment? I Still like Master Rana's forms the best! or Master San Jose.
Taekwondo only comes to life when it needs to. When it does it is very efficient. Certain moves are internalized that just come out on their own depending on the situation. No thinking needed. If your body is in danger it goes into automatic to get rid of the danger but nothing more. It is for self defense only. We do spar though. I sparred 256 times within 5 years. Constant refining of technique. I thank them for the student creed. It kept me out of jail. The student creed is also internalized and is even more important. We commit ourselves to mental and physical discipline. To be friends with one another and to develop strength in our group. We shall not fight to achieve selfish goals. But to develop wisdom and character is our ultimate commitment. hand x crossed. unite for right! Say this a thousand times and taekwondo will never never get you into trouble.
